What can TIPA bring to interns?

  • Introduce interns to practical experiences of the social, educational and artistic fields (or extend their existing knowledge).
  • Benefit the personal and professional growth of each intern, through professional supervision and regular follow-ups.
  • Enable interns to put theories into practice and gain professional knowledge and experience from practicing professionals.
  • Help interns determine their professional strengths and weaknesses.
  • Improve existing skills and techniques and developing new ones (e.g. autonomy, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork, etc.), especially those applicable to their prospective career.
  • Bring an understanding and appreciation of the professional duties and responsibilities of personnel in the field.

Who is eligible for an internship at TIPA?

  • Minimum Age Requirement
  • - 18 years old
  • Level of Education
  • At least an HSC Certificate or BAC
  • Fields of Interest/Study
    • - Arts
    • - Education
    • - Psychology (Research)
    • - Social Work
    • - Administration/Management (CSR, NGO Management, etc/li>
    • - Communication
  • Language Requirements
    • - An understanding of the Creole language
    • - Good written and spoken French and/or English

Working days and hours
  • Monday to Friday :
    • - Office days : 09h00-16h30
    • - Field Days-School Premises (Monday to Thursday): 08h50-15h30

Allowance : As an NGO, we depend greatly on sponsorships and donations. If we have the necessary funds, we will provide a transport allowance to each intern at the end of each month of placement.

Internship Report : Interns will be required to write and submit a report at the end of their internship.

Internship project : Interns will be given the opportunity to work on a project that can range from a research or a more critical analysis of a topic that relates to TIPA activities and methods of work.

  • A copy of your CV

All applications should be sent one month before proposed date of start of internship.

Note: TIPA team will be able to welcome a maximum of 2 interns during the internship period.

Selection for interview: Only the 5 best candidates shortlisted will be called for an interview. Selection of those candidates will be based on criteria such as their area of interest, area of study, any past experience in the social field, as well as the latter’s motivation

Selection for Internship: Once the best suited candidate(s) is selected, he/she will be sent an email.
